WiFi & Networks

HITS provides computer network access, both wired and wireless, to the entire academic medical center, including more than 45 remote locations.

A firewall is a device that protects a network from unauthorized access.

With a VPN, authorized users can securely access internal Michigan Medicine IT resources, including MiChart, file servers and intranet sites. Alternate VPN clients are also available for faculty and staff working with the VA hospital and for users who need access to the Center for Computational Medicine and Bioinformatics (CCMB) networks and clusters.
