Michigan Medicine Human Resources, Organizational Learning, and HITS are partnering with Cornerstone to establish a comprehensive Talent Management platform to serve all of Michigan Medicine.

The first major step was replacing MLearning with Cornerstone Learning last fall.

What is Talent Management?

Talent Management refers to a coordinated set of activities that nurture employees to reach their full potential – including onboarding and orientation, learning, personal skills and growth, professional development, performance management, succession planning, and more.

Phase 1 – MLearning replaced by Cornerstone Learning

Cornerstone Learning is now available! It offers many advantages over our previous system, including:

  • A more modern, user-friendly interface that features improved search and easier navigation.
  • Greater reliability and flexibility: The cloud-based system will regularly receive updates and enhancements. Content will be available anywhere, anytime.
  • Integrates additional types of learning resources (including LinkedIn Learning) into a single, convenient hub.

Additional Talent Management Capabilities Coming Soon

Cornerstone Learning is just the first step in implementing a comprehensive, cloud-based Talent Management Platform, including Cornerstone Performance Management, Cornerstone Careers, and more.

As each new module is added, the plan is to develop and maintain a unified, comprehensive set of content and tools that’s capable of supporting the incredibly diverse (and often unique) needs of Michigan Medicine’s more than 30,000 faculty, staff, and students.
