Trouble accessing Box data? The migration window for Box Shared Accounts (Box folders owned by an MCommunity group) closed on Thursday, July 15.
The migration window for Box Shared Accounts was open from June 1 - July 15, 2021. If the owner of a Box Shared Account did not take action before July 15 through the ITS Self-Service Migration tool, the account has been deactivated. But don't panic! It's easy for the owner to reactivate the account by logging in to the ITS Self-Service Tool. Once the account is reactivated, please make plans to migrate the account to Dropbox or other another appropriate storage solution.
This migration of Box Shared Accounts was the first wave of data migrations from Box to Dropbox. Other migration waves are currently underway, including:
- HITS: June 7 - July 22
- Michigan Medicine: June 15 - July 30
- Ross School of Business: July 1 - August 15
- College of Engineering: July 1 - August 15
- College of LSA: July 12 - August 26
**The Michigan Medicine migration deadline is fast approaching! Take action by scheduling your account migration or requesting an extension today. Please note that only a migration date needs to be scheduled by July 30, the actual data migration can occur after the deadline. **
This is all a part of the Box Retirement Project, the effort to move all U-M data out of Box by December 2021.
