Zoom for Health at U-M will be consolidated into regular U-M Zoom. Zoom for Health users’ accounts will be migrated into regular U-M Zoom beginning Saturday, January 2 at 11 pm and ending January 3 at 6 am. Your Zoom account will not be available during this time.
U-M Zoom has been approved for PHI (HIPAA data). As a result, Zoom for Health at U-M will be consolidated into regular U-M Zoom. Zoom for Health users’ accounts will be migrated into regular U-M Zoom beginning Saturday, January 2 at 11 pm and ending January 3 at 6 am. Your Zoom account will not be available during this time.
Zoom for MiChart will be unaffected.
This change to U-M Zoom will allow Michigan Medicine to use new features, such as:
- Cloud recording
- Live transcription
- Viewing identifying information in reports
- Ability to assign scheduling privileges and alternative host privileges to anyone at U-M
- One Zoom integration in Canvas
After the change, you will notice that the Zoom URL will change to umich.zoom.us. The Zoom for Health web address: Umich-health.zoom.us will redirect to umich.zoom.us so no calendar invitations will need to be updated with the new URL. Your current/upcoming meetings and webinars, along with your personal meeting ID and link, will migrate with your account.
Please note: After the transition, you will not be able to pull reports from meetings or webinars that were conducted in Zoom for Health. Please follow these instructions to Download any meeting or webinar reports (i.e. polling, registration reports) before Saturday January 2, 2021 to retain them.
