Medical School device program expanding in early 2025
HITS and the Medical School will introduce a centralized funding model in early 2025 to get more employees access to a Michigan Medicine computer for their work. Zoom Rooms – a new video conferencing option for departments
Department administrators! Looking for a low-cost, self-service AV option? We’ve collaborated with ITS to offer Zoom Rooms technology at Michigan Medicine, for seamless in-person and remote collaboration with the push of a single button. Visit the HITS Help Center to learn more or request an AV Collaboration Space.
The HITS website debuts on SharePoint
HITS is now a part of the Michigan Medicine intranet on SharePoint! We will decommission the current HITS website (hits.medicine.umich.edu) in January 2025. Check out our new site to see updated HITS’ services and offerings, guides, news (including future iterations of this update!), and more.
IV Fluid & Supply Shortage
HITS continues to support the unified Incident Command Center and our emergency operations plan to preserve our IV Fluid supply. We are making updates in MiChart daily to give providers the latest information they need on our supplies. See the Incident Command Communications site for more info.

A reminder that Michigan Medicine’s Outlook email will implement a 2-year retention policy in February 2025. Learn more from Information Assurance and begin saving important attachments and messages, as needed.
