Transfer Center Go-live
Transfer Center Module went live with the MiChart upgrade and provides a single place for administrative staff to capture patient medical information, facilitate provider communications, track physician and financial approvals, document transportation progress, and see real-time bed availability and registration progress.
Please find additional reference tip sheets on the M2C2 Transfer Center Module Tip Sheets SharePoint site.
This module's implementation streamlines communication about patient transfers from outside hospitals and patients who are scheduled and emergent direct admits from clinic and home.
Here are the changes impacting the providers, and nurses and links to resources:

Outpatient Providers/Nurses
A new order called “Direct Admission from Home/Clinic” will allow Michigan Medicine providers to admit patients directly without the need to contact M2C2 staff via email or phone for future date admissions.
Admitting Officer of the Day (AOD) & OB Providers
Review patients requesting a transfer from outside hospitals and add-on patients when we are in case-by-case status on the Transfer Center system list and accept or decline them by clicking the appropriate approval button.
Inpatient Nurses
A patient with a helicopter icon will appear in the Transfer Center system list, indicating a pre-admission patient arriving from outside the organization.
Inpatient Providers
Review the directly admitted patients from the Transfer Center system list and complete a provider-to-provider handoff.
ED Physicians/Nurses/Clerks
ED Expected patients will show up with a helicopter icon on the ED Expected track board, indicating an intake associated with this patient. A column with a hover bubble will show the details of the transfer.
HAIKU, CANTO, and ROVER Version Compatibility with MiChart Fall Upgrade
The Haiku, Canto, and Rover applications should minimally be on version 10.9 to login after the MiChart Fall upgrade on Sunday, October 20. The applications should automatically update the version, but if this did not occur and your MiChart mobile applications are not working after the MiChart Fall upgrade you may have to take action to update the mobile app version. The application version is located at the bottom of the application login screen.
- Personal Devices can be updated through the Company Portal of published Michigan Medicine Apps
- UCC Devices can be updated by first closing the Haiku or Rover apps, then clicking on the MM Apps icon on the main screen. Subsequently locate the application you want to update and select “Install.” This version from the App Store will be version 10.9 or later.
