Intelligent Hub (MDM) will be removed from personal mobile devices, starting April 15

03/30/2022

HITS will begin removing Intelligent Hub (MDM) from personal mobile devices on April 15. Impacted customers are being notified, and those who wish to continue accessing Michigan Medicine privileged networks or other resources will need to switch to Microsoft Intune.

What’s Happening:

In late 2021, Michigan Medicine switched mobile device management vendors, replacing Intelligent Hub with Microsoft Intune. All MDM users were prompted to unenroll their device from Intelligent Hub and enroll in Intune in order to continue accessing Michigan Medicine email, WiFi networks, page copy, and Epic mobile apps from their personal device.

What You May Need to Do:

If you STILL use Intelligent Hub on your mobile device to access MDM-dependent resources, follow the instructions below before April 15:

  1. Unenroll from Intelligent Hub
  2. Enroll in Intune:
    1. Some users may also need to reinstall Duo on their device after April 15. See these directions to reconfigure your Duo app.

If you NO LONGER use a mobile device to access MDM-dependent resources – no action is required.

    • Intelligent Hub will be removed from your device on or after April 15.  At that time, you will lose access to networks and resources. If you later need to resume access to these resources, enroll your device in Intune, using the instructions described above.
    • Some users may also need to reinstall Duo on their device after April 15. See these directions to reconfigure your Duo app.

    Not sure if you're impacted?

If you're uncertain whether you are impacted by this change, search the apps on your personal mobile device and look for "Intelligent Hub."
