MLearning Replacement Coming Soon – What's Happening + Resources to Help You Prepare
In fall of 2022, MLearning will be replaced. In conjunction with this change, the “MLearning” brand is being retired, and will become “Cornerstone Learning."
New HITS pilot service for Classroom Technology support
HITS has launched a new pilot service to help the Michigan Medicine community get expert, effective, time-sensitive support with classroom technology.
Update: Cornerstone Talent Management Platform Work Continues: MLearning Retirement/Replacement Coming in fall 2022
Work continues to design and deliver a new online Talent Management platform to serve all of Michigan Medicine. As announced in late February, the project team’s first priority is replacing (and upgrading) the technology Michigan Medicine currently uses to support training activities. MLearning will be retired and replaced by Cornerstone Learning in fall 2022.
Level up with Microsoft 365 training
Microsoft 365 allows you to collaborate with anyone in Michigan Medicine, from any location, on any device. Learn what’s possible (and save time!) using Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Planner, and To Do.
Intelligent Hub (MDM) will be removed from personal mobile devices, starting April 15
HITS will begin removing Intelligent Hub (MDM) from personal mobile devices on April 15. Impacted customers are being notified, and those who wish to continue accessing Michigan Medicine privileged networks or other resources will need to switch to Microsoft Intune.
Reminder: Upgrades to Michigan Medicine Computer Environment Continue; Training Opportunities Available
Late last year, Health Information Technology and Services (HITS) completed the rollout of the Microsoft 365 (M365) productivity suite, including Microsoft Teams.

Reminder: Skype for Business (including Persistent Chat groups) will be retired on March 31, 2022
Michigan Medicine’s instance of Skype for Business (SfB) will be retired on March 31. This planned retirement is happening in conjunction with the rollout of Microsoft Teams – which is now our preferred tool for business-related (non-clinical) communication and collaboration, including chat.
NOTICE: Phishing emails targeting students with fake job scams
Phishing emails that target students with fake job scams continue to be prevalent. A number of U-M students, including incoming high school students who haven’t attended U-M yet, have reported scam emails about work-from-home job opportunities.
Updates to Michigan Medicine Windows computing environment – happening now through early April
HITS will soon update many Michigan Medicine computers to align available tools, improve functionality, and provide a more consistent user experience across our Windows computing environment – primarily impacting Standard and Flex mode DESKTOPS, and Kiosk devices.

Michigan Medicine partnering with Cornerstone on new Talent Management platform, starting with MLearning replacement

Action required to continue accessing applications which use Michigan Medicine SAML/SSO Identity Provider Service before March 4, 2022
This message is intended for HITS staff whose applications use the Michigan Medicine SAML/SSO Identity Provider service (weblogin.med.umich.edu).
The production certificate for the Michigan Medicine Web SSO (SAML) / Access Manager / Web login authentication service will expire on Friday, March 4, 2022, and must be replaced before then or logins to the application will fail.

The next MiChart upgrade is planned for Sunday, April 24.
